Simulation Theory and Dreams

Simulation theory and dreams are important. Many people, including Elon Musk, think we are living in a simulation. We may doubt this theory, but then every night we create a simulation inside our heads while we sleep. Dreams are the ultimate VR, the realist simulation we can think of. It isn’t crazy to think that dreams are proof of simulation, or use them as a tool to think about how life could be a simulation too.

Video Notes

Is it possible that we are living in a simulation and don’t know it?

  • Technology advances, games get better, how do we know that hasn’t already happened?
  • The universe seems determined, so a computer could do that, but all doesn’t need to be determined, just what we can observe and measure.
  • simulation of detail, only need when examined, otherwise could just be ‘outside’ details
  • basically, we only need to think thinks are real, consciousness is the only thing that needs tricking.

Some Assumptions of simulation theory:

  1. it is possible to simulate consciousness, we hardly know what consciousness is, what it takes, what it means, are plants conscious?
  2. Technological progress will not stop anytime soon, telescoping evolution of time, what computers would we even need that we couldn’t create in time?
  3. Advanced civilizations don’t destroy themselves, we still exist but haven’t found other civilizations.
  4. super-advanced civilizations want to run simulations, sim ant, sim city, the sims.
  5. if there are a lot of simulations, you are probably inside of one, everyone has a copy of the sims, so most conscious beings are simulated… more likely to be situation than anything else.

Lots of assumptions of simulation theory are impossible to test.

Even if simulation theory was true, it wouldn’t change anything.

Things are only real when you look at them.

We create a simulation every night when we dream, so dreams are simulations. In a way, they prove that it is possible to create simulations. What is to say that isn’t all the proof we need.

Dreams About Your Ex and their Meaning

Dreaming about your ex? what is the meaning of dreams about your ex? Have you dreamt about getting back with your ex? Or have you dreamt about your ex dying? Have you dreamt about your ex moving on? All of these dreams are explained. It is important to remember that dreams about your ex are dreams about what is happening in your life right now, so your ex is a symbol for something else, sometimes.

Script:

What does your ex mean to you? Was it a happy or sad relationship? Did you or they end it?

What is happening in your life right now? Are you going through a similar event or situation? What did you learn?

Are you making similar mistakes, or are things headed in the same direction?

First true love, could be a symbol for love rather than that person.

When did it happen? If recent, it could be a way of dealing with the breakup.

It can be a conversation with yourself about the relationship. Are you questioning getting back together or hoping for that?

Do you have kids? Stay together for the kids, keep relation with your ex healthy for the benefit of your kids.

Ex’s can represent emotions/feelings/times/etc, so they could be that rather than who they dream is about.

Rejection, breakup, what is breaking up now, how are you being rejected?

Death/dying could be closure/ending of the relationship, more so, it is your acceptance.

Ex dating someone else, you’ve moved on, your reading to date someone else.

Ex’s family, friends, maybe you miss that part of the relationship, the routine, the lifestyle, the acceptance.

Questions:

What stands out about this person or relationship?

What right now is similar to that situation?

Is there a lesson from that relationship that can be applied now?

Dream circumstances vs. current, actions similar, how do they relate?

Do emotions now relate to back then, what’s going on with your life right now?

Conclusion:

Dreaming about your ex isn’t about the person, but often factors and feelings they symbolize. So think about, what does this person mean?

Many Worlds Theory of Dreams

You have heard of the many-worlds theory of quantum mechanics, but have you heard of the many-worlds theory of dreams? Many worlds is a common theme in science fiction, but what if it was a part of our everyday experience? What if our dreams take place in other worlds? What if right now, we were living in one world of an infinite number or other worlds? Let’s investigate.

Script

  • Many worlds theory is one of many interpretations of quantum mechanics, it is very popular in movies.
  • The wave function, mathematic description of the quantum state, which means position, momentum, spin, things that can be measured and observed.
  • the wave function is based on probabilities and complex numbers, equations to given values.
  • wave function collapse, observation, measurement put into a complex equation, you give one value, you get other values back
  • universal wave function – quantum state of the totality of existence, big bang, initial conditions, rules laws move forward in a determined way.
  • The universal wave function is real, and there is no collapse, so all outcomes are realized in different versions of the world.
  • Example of the universal wave function, playing basketball, hear the ball, it could be anywhere till you look, but once you look, you know where the ball is.
  • Very deterministic, each world has initial conditions and rules and evolves from there.
  • each new world is different, so each world will be different
  • dreams are us jumping to different worlds, seeing these different collapsed wave function.
  • this is why a dream world can exist, it has its own place and rules, when we dream, we goto a stable place.
  • Many worlds imply there is an infinite number of worlds, where have you been? What have you seen?

Dreams about your Phone Not Working

Dreams about your phone not working are pretty common seeing as we all use our phones all the time. But when it comes to the meaning of dreams about our phones not working, we need to dig a little below the surface and think about what phones represent. Phones represent communication, so if your phone isn’t working, you need to ask yourself, am I having trouble communicating? The thing is, this isn’t always about communication with other people, you might need to ask yourself if you are communicating with your subconscious? All this considered, sometimes broken phones or machines represent the body, so is everything alright with your body?

Dreams about Your Phone Not Working Script

Phones are our #1 means of communication

  • could be avoiding something, so examine a relationship, especially if you are calling someone in your dream
  • maybe someone isn’t responsive, they are communicating, you feel disconnected from them

Phones tend to represent communication

  • so it could be a message from the subconscious

Communication from within -> self trying to tell you something

  • are you ignoring your needs
  • are you not connecting with people
  • are you avoiding life, being on your phone

Not working machines / broken machines

  • we are machines, so the machine may symbolize yourself
  • anxious about making emotional connections
  • can’t make connections / unwanted connections
  • something is wrong with the body

Avoiding and issue or confrontation.

Phones could represent a distance from people in your life.

emotions or psychological closeness

  • use phones to connect to people, but we cant

  • Are you having difficulty communicating?
  • Is something wrong with your body?

Life is Just a Dream!

Life is Just a Dream is a book about dreaming that I read many years ago, it has also been one of the most influential books on my dreaming journey. What is interesting about this book, is the theories it has about what dreams are and what they mean. It talks about Déjà vu and how that could be related to dreams. It also talks about how we could live many lives, in different dream-like places. If you are curious about dreams, this review is a good primer for some of the more far-out ideas.

Dream About Teeth Falling Out Meaning

Dreams about teeth falling and their meaning, dreams about your teeth falling out is one of the most common types of dreams. The most common meaning, is related to transition and change. Meditation to Make Your Dreams Come True

I want to tell you about how meditation can make your dreams come true. I’ve been using a meditation app recently and one of the lessons in it helps you use your imagination and focus to induce a sort of waking dream. I was just imagining a candle, but that was enough to see that we really can change our experiences of reality. This experience has me wondering even more, is this a dream?

Do mobile phones affect sleep and dreams?

Do mobile phones affect sleep and dreams?

Do mobile phones affect your sleep and dreams? The answer is yes, of course, they affect your sleep, also, as a result, they kill your dreams. Dreams are important to your mental health and life. The more we look at our phones the less quality sleep we get, the less sleep we get the worse it is four our dreams. Dreams are important, so don’t kill them with your phone.
